The Layers Behind All That Glitters

Not everything we see is genuine, and not everything we think is real is actually true. Everyone is just polishing their dull side of life to shine.
Since I think that everyone has their moment to shine, I conduct my life according to my strengths rather than letting other people's actions, particularly those of my peers, dictate how I live.

If only everyone out there could live their lives without looking at what others are doing there won't be anyone falling victim at all but some people are used to running after what their mates are doing. They want to shine when it is not even their time and then they end up wasting their beautiful life.

I have 2 friends named Tunji, and Femi. There was a day we went out and Femi told me that I am not sharp, I am too local because I don't roll with ladies here and there just like them. Tunji replied, "Cheating is bad and he confronted me that I shouldn't cheat on my woman " and I thought I had at least one good person on my side.

But then I asked them all "What will be my gain if I make use of my money to flex with a girl I don't know and I have a beautiful wife at home". Femi smiled and replied, "Don't you get tired of just one food?". I don't have anything to say to him so I just left the fun because I am beginning to get angry with all that he was saying.

One day Tunji called that his wife gave birth and I was happy for him so I went to his house to celebrate with him, on getting there I greeted his wife and her friends, went back to meet my friend we both gist for some minutes when I excuse myself to use the restroom.

On my way back I passed the backyard, I don't know why but I just felt like passing there and I saw my friend Tunji with his wife's friend and they were about to kiss. I couldn't believe what I saw because this was the guy that always tells me cheating is bad.

I went back without letting them see me, the next day I asked him about what I saw and he was about to deny it when I told him how they both did so he opened up to me that his marriage is not perfect and he just wanted to be happy.

This was the guy that told me and the other guy, Femi, that his marriage is perfect and he doesn't cheat.
Then I realized that nothing is perfect, even the so-called perfect marriage has its own ups and downs since then

I only know myself and no other person because those that you see as perfect people are the ones with flaws. Those that act innocent most are the ones that are full of unimaginable things. We are still friends but I never looked at what they do to live my life because everyone in life is just packaging their lives.
Everyone should be aware that not all that glitters is gold.
