My business ideas / LOH #252

Having an income is crucial for every human being, especially after reaching a certain age or when they have to start fending for themselves. It is logical to seek a dependent relationship, as you have a fixed salary on a certain date and you know how much you have. However, some people want to start their own business from the very beginning or later on. In fact, it is something I have had in mind for some time, but for various reasons it has not come to fruition.

I remember that at one point my first thought was to start a dessert business selling cakes and cupcakes (in my country they are called ponquesitos). Obviously, I would also include the sale of coffee and other beverages. I still see this business as something that can generate income, since people like to get together to chat over dessert, coffee, or some other beverage. In fact, I am one of those people who occasionally chooses to take some time alone and indulge without feeling guilty, so I think many others do the same.

Another business I have thought about is selling imported products, whether purchased from AliExpress, Temu, Alibaba, or some other platform, but here I think it would be a gamble because what is attractive to me may not be attractive to someone else, but if the prices are attractive, I think sales can be achieved.

More recently, my husband and I have been thinking about a business selling motorcycle parts. Since we have a motorcycle at home, we know that there is always something to buy, especially in this city where motorcycle taxis are abundant. Knowing firsthand the wear and tear that motorcycles are exposed to, it would undoubtedly be a productive business.

Obviously, to start with, we wouldn't be able to have a fully equipped store, but we could start by selling some products that are in high demand, which would allow us to recoup our investment and make a profit so that we could reinvest in restocking and, in turn, buy something else to stock up and diversify.

On the other hand, this business also intends to offer motorcycle repair services, since my husband is a mechanic and having some or all of the spare parts there would be great, so it would be a win-win situation as I see it. Logically, as in any business, at the beginning there would not be much profit, since we would have to restock merchandise, reinvest, and observe which merchandise is most in demand.

Finally, I am aware that the success of a business is not immediately apparent, but I believe that being our own boss and working towards a dream that we want to become a reality requires patience, vision, and sometimes even persistence because sometimes things don't happen the first time around, such as obtaining financing from a bank to take those first steps.

El tener ingresos es determinante para todo ser humano, en especial luego de llegar a determinada edad o cuando ya debe comenzar a valerse por sí mismo, es lógico que se busque una relación de dependencia, pues se tiene un salario fijo en determinada fecha y se sabe la cantidad con la que se cuenta, pero algunos desde sus primeros pasos o luego desean iniciar su propio negocio, de hecho es algo que yo tengo en mente desde hace algún tiempo, pero por diversas razones no se ha concertado.

Recuerdo que en alguna oportunidad mi primer pensamiento fue un negocio de postres como tortas y cupcakes (en mi país se les llama ponquesitos) obviamente también incluiría la venta de café y otras bebidas, la verdad todavía veo este negocio como algo que puede producir ingresos, ya que a las personas les gusta reunirse a conversar acompañados de un postre, café o alguna otra bebida, es más yo soy de las que de vez en cuando opta por tomarse un tiempo a solas y se da un gusto sin sentirse culpable, por lo que creo que muchos hacen lo mismo.

Otro negocio en el que he pensado es en la venta de productos importados, ya sean comprados por AliExpress, Temu, Alibaba o alguna otra plataforma, pero aquí pienso sería una lotería porque tal vez lo que sea atractivo para mí, no lo sea para alguien más, pero si hay precios atractivos creo se logran ventas.

Ahora bien, de manera más reciente hemos pensado (mi esposo y yo) en un negocio de venta de repuestos para motos, al tener una en casa, sabemos que nunca falta algo que comprar y más en esta ciudad en la que abundan las motos taxis y conociendo de primera mano el desgaste al que se ven expuestas las motos, sería sin duda un negocio productivo.

Obviamente, para comenzar no podríamos o tendríamos la capacidad para tener una tienda equipada con todo, pero podríamos comenzar vendiendo algunos productos cosas que tienen gran demanda, lo que nos permitiría recuperar la inversión y obtener ganancia para de ese modo volver a invertir en reposición y a su vez comprar algo más para ir surtiendo y diversificando.

Por otra parte, este negocio tiene la intención de tener también mecánica para motos, ya que mi esposo en mecánico y el tener parte o todos de los repuestos allí sería genial, así que sería un ganar, ganar como yo lo veo, lógicamente, como en todo negocio al comenzar no se le vería mucha ganancia, pues hay que reponer mercancía, reinvertir además de tener que ir observando cuál es la mercancía más solicitada.

Finalmente, estoy consciente de que el éxito de un negocio no se ve de manera inmediata, pero creo que el ser nuestro propio jefe y trabajar en pro de un sueño que deseamos se vuelva realidad, se necesita, paciencia, visión y a veces hasta insistencia porque a veces las cosas no se dan a la primera, como por ejemplo el obtener un financiamiento de un banco, para dar esos primeros pasos.
