Why add liquidity to a diesel pool and how to do it
Whenever we speak about diesel pools I still see many people that have absolutely no idea what these liquidity pools on hive-engine are. That's why I thought it might be a good idea to make a tutorial about why it's a good idea to provide liquidity to diesel pools and how to actually do it.
In the video, I try to explain the different income sources that you have for providing liquidity and also the risk that you take when doing so. I then show you how you can easily provide liquidity to a pool.

If you have any questions related to the subject, feel free to leave a comment below this post. I will gladly try to answer.
P.S: Did you know that on hive-engine there are pools that allow you to swap the wrapped version of currencies like BTC, LTC, ETH, BNB, BUSD ?

Really informative.
Thanks for stopping by!
That's a fantastic idea. Creating a tutorial video about diesel pools on Hive-Engine would be really helpful for those who are unfamiliar with it. It's important to explain the income sources and risks involved, and provide clear instructions on how to provide liquidity. Great initiative!

Very informative video! I think providing liquidity on diesel pools is a good investment option on Hive. The pools that have second incomes are more attractive to provide liquidity on :)
Exactly, there are some nice pools where you can get nice double returns :-)
Thanks for sharing this information with us.
You are welcome!

When I first started on HIVE, I loved the liquidity pools and high APRs. It was only until that I learned about impermanent loss and had some pools take quite a beating in value that I became more aware and conscious of which pools I picked 🤣. Lessons learnt from my newbie days.
It's important to learn from our mistakes. I was also chasing high APR's in such pools until I realized that it was better to have two rather stable tokens with an interesting apr rather than the highest apr providers :-)
Now, I know more about applying liquidity :)

I didn't realize that you could estimate the fees based on the past 30 days.
Well it's the not most precise thing but it gives an indication.

The rewards earned on this comment will go directly to the people ( hafiz34 ) sharing the post on LeoThreads,LikeTu,dBuzz.
I think it's important to educate people about the different ways to earn income on Hive, and liquidity pools are a great way to do that.
I'm also glad you mentioned the risk involved in providing liquidity. It's important to understand the risks before you get involved, but the potential rewards can be very high.
The risk linked to liquidity pool with imparmanent loss is often not easy to grasp for people. Unfortunately many are mislead by huge apr's in these pools when they should make sure that both tokens "move" in a parallel way first. Thanks for your comment!
Hello Dear @achim03 good to see you as always via your video.
The video you have created is packed with information and would surely help many people in understanding the idea of providing liquidity and hopeful help them on their investment journey too.
Increasing the reach of your post via threads could be a good strategy hope the following reference helps
https://leofinance.io/posts/anomadsoul/curation-on-leo-finance-threads-outreach
I actually tried to share it on threads but whenever I added the link, the thread disapeared...
The reason for that is the update to leo threads. Now leo threads is encouraging a nested thread threadstorm to share the post on threads . My understanding is that the direct link posting on first thread makes it disappear in order to avoid link spamming.
This is a new strategy being tested currently.
Therefore if we share links directly on first thread then the thread disappears.
If we share the link as answer/ response to the first thread it it gets published.
The recommended method is the threadstorm strategy that involves : create a text based thread with a short description of the post.
In reply to the thread you can create another thread with more content about the post. Though you can share links here but the recommended method is 3 threads strategy.
The first thread- introduces the subject
The 2nd thread - Like a trailer of a movie makes the reader more interested by writing some interesting from the post or something on the topic to increase the interest.
The third thread is where you post the link.
The 2nd and 3rd threads are created as answers to the first thread.
The following post gives info about this recommended process and the use of suitable keywords

Hope this helps. This should help you in getting the issue resolved :)
Thanks a lot for that information. I will try it out :-)
