Worse Than Communism...

Four days after the presidential elections in Romania, we’re watching the "losing candidate" appeal the results and demand that Romania’s Constitutional Court cancel the elections (for the second time) based on proven fraud. Hmmm, feels like we’re stuck in clown world, and it sure as hell ain’t the first time I’ve felt this way.

We’re deep in clown world territory—already had one round of elections scrapped because the establishment didn’t like the outcome. A candidate they saw as a threat was on the verge of winning. Now, the "losing candidate" got screwed over by interference and fraud.

In an era where everything is tracked—every damn thing has a surveillance code (digital or paper ID)—we’re still voting on paper, and those "paper notes" aren’t trackable. This opens the door to votes being fucked with and elections rigged. France played a big role in meddling with this country’s election results, and Pavel Durov, Telegram’s CEO, is ready to testify to that.

Sunday afternoon, I got a weird message from Telegram—looked like a forwarded note from Pavel Durov himself. In it, he said a prominent European country asked him to censor messages and groups in Romania during the elections. Now, Durov spent a couple of months in a French prison (yep, the country he’s pointing at), and that fucked with his pride big time.

So, he didn’t take the deal and didn’t censor shit. Better yet, he publicly declared he’s ready to testify against the establishment that stole the elections if called upon.

A Western European government (guess which one ) contacted Telegram, asking us to silence conservative voices in Romania ahead of today’s presidential elections. We firmly refused. Telegram will not restrict the freedoms of Romanian users or block their political channels.
You can’t “defend democracy” by destroying democracy. You can’t “fight electoral interference” by interfering in elections. Either you have free speech and fair elections—or you don’t. And the Romanian people deserve both.

The above text is the translation of the screenshotted message I received on Sunday (election day). Now, the fucked-up part of the election outcome isn’t just France’s interference... According to folks more knowledgeable than me, it seems the vote-counting software can screw with the results before they hit the database, swapping votes so the other candidate gets their opponent’s tally.

That means the real winner should be "the losing candidate." This shit goes down inside the software. While the election process might look fair and flawless, the algorithm counting votes can be coded to pull shady crap that rigs the outcome.
I’m not shocked, though I’m pissed as hell about this shit, because I truly believe Mark Twain’s words: “If voting mattered, they wouldn’t let us vote.” My take? They only let us vote to feed us the illusion of free choice, when there’s none.

They either handpick both sides so whoever you vote for serves the elites, or they fuck with the machinery to ensure their candidate wins.
