When Blockchain Sucks

$105,000 BTC, and yet again, we’ve got rumors of Michael Saylor buyin’ more Bitcoin. He’s doin’ it, BlackRock’s doin’ it too, and before you know it, there’ll be more coins in the hands of institutions than retail.

As I’ve mentioned in quite a few posts already, I kinda feel like Bitcoin’s mission—the one Satoshi envisioned, and most of us believed in—has kinda failed... But anyway, this post ain’t about that.

I’ve shared that famous quote a couple of times in my posts, the one about the masses choosin’ to sacrifice a bit of their freedom for safety. To some extent, I’m in that boat too. I’ve been a die-hard advocate of self-custody for crypto since, like, forever.

But for the past several weeks, I’ve been dealin’ with all sorts of issues with a wallet I’ve used for years. Exodus has been my go-to wallet for a bunch of coins I’ve owned over time, but now it’s givin’ me headaches.

At first, I had problems with the mobile version on Android—couldn’t even open the wallet on my phone. It worked fine on my laptop, but not on mobile. Now I’ve got a new issue hittin’ me on both desktop and mobile.

I’m holdin’ some DGB (@digibytecoin) there, and lately, I’ve had trouble movin’ it. It let me make a couple of transactions, but now I can’t do shit, and it sucks. Honestly, I’m super tempted to move it outta Exodus to an exchange once I can get my hands on it ‘cause I hate these situations.

Atomic Wallet, another non-custodial wallet, let me deposit ICX, only to hit me with a message sayin’ it can’t display my balance when I tried to access it. On the mobile version, you’d get a warning if you tried to transfer any coin to the above-mentioned blockchain, but the desktop version didn’t bother doin’ that.

I hope this Digibyte issue on Exodus gets fixed soon ‘cause it sucks ass... It’s kinda shaken my trust in these non-custodial wallets too... Anyway, that’s it from me. Hope everyone’s havin’ a great day, and I’ll catch y’all next time.
