There are fifty million millionaires in the world right now, did you know that? I sure know we have a bunch of them in my little town as well, and when you think of a million dollars nowadays, it’s not that much anymore. I’m not saying it’s not a sweet chunk to have in the bank or in crypto...

But the milli million is no longer such a mountain of cash like it used to be. Fiat money had way more value back in the day than it has nowadays, and also millionaires were much more scarce. I don’t think my town had any before the 2000’s.The year 2000 was such a breaking point.

It feels like the internet somehow got born right then. Much of the wealth that’s been created in the world over the past couple of decades has been possible due to the internet and heavy access of the masses to high-speed internet connections.

Social media took this even further, and although it’s just a minority that’s making insane amounts of money by leveraging social media, those that do it good are wealthy as hell. Not everything that is being created on social media is of any considerable value, though.

As stated many times on my blog already, I consider that there is a lot of crap that’s being monetized these days, and plenty of that crap has a great impact on new generations. It messes with their minds in such a bad way...We see quite often families, couples, or individuals that are more and more inclined towards “leaving the world of the internet” and embracing nature, embracing real life.

You know, the life we used to escape from when computers started becoming mainstream and internet became so accessible to many of us.Playing video games and watching movies was my way of escaping reality... Back then reality was boring, was poor in stimuli.

Now reality is hard to depict from the virtual worlds we lose ourselves in throughout the day.Living without stimulus of all sorts is so odd nowadays... I went to a train station the other day to pick someone up, and although there were only a few people waiting there for their trains to come, all of them were glued to their smartphones.

Even the elderly are so sucked up in the world of TikTok, and when I look at some, how connected they are to these worlds, it feels like watching zombies. Man, it’s also amazing how much content is being produced on a daily basis on such networks.Everyone is a doctor, a fitness or relationship guru, and a master of something on the internet, when in reality the majority are fat, lazy, poor, and depressed.

We are close to a dotcom-style bubble burst, act accordingly... And have a great Sunday wherever you are.

Thanks for your attention,
Adrian
