Stift Melk(Austria): A "God Made" Abbey
Melk Abbey (German: Stift Melk) is a Benedictine abbey above the town of Melk, Lower Austria, Austria, on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Danube river, adjoining the Wachau valley. The abbey contains the tomb of Saint Coloman of Stockerau and the remains of several members of the House of Babenberg, Austria's first ruling dynasty.

I wish I were good at history, or at least religious, so I could craft a captivating story for this magnificent thousand-year-old abbey. I am neither one nor the other, but visiting this place and enduring the cold temperature and the wind was surely worth it.
I've got two more days left in Austria, and despite the relatively bad weather, I tried my best to move around a lot and visit as many interesting and photography-worthy places as possible. During my one-week stay here, I managed to capture over 500 photographs, and I can't get enough of it.
I don't know if it's too late or not, but if there were a career I would definitely pursue, it would be as a photographer or a travel blogger. The only problem right now is that I don't travel too much. Maybe once the bull market kicks in properly, I will change that. Who knows...
So, Melk, the Austrian city I visited today, is approximately 25 kilometers away from where my parents live. We got there in no time, and we actually spent more time looking for a parking place than on the highway due to my father's stubbornness.
The place was unquestionably worth the time. I was more pleased to wander around this abbey than I was at the fortress in Salzburg I visited one week ago. This place (Stift Melk) feels like some "God creation." It's simply timeless...
Not many were there visiting it; according to my parents, there are many more tourists during the summer. Unfortunately, we did not get to see the inside of the monastery, but I was very pleased with my experience of witnessing the majesty of the place from outside and snapping a few pics here and there.
I'm not good at history or a religious person, thus trying to provide a proper description without copying and pasting a chunk of info from the internet is something I am not fond of doing at the moment. I did try my best to capture as much beauty and detail as possible from that place with my smartphone camera. Hope you will like my photos, and wishing you all a great weekend.
Thanks for your attention,
Adrian

Nice.
The abbey looks so cool I love religious places even if I'm not religious are always full of art
True. The place is restored but looks old and charming anyway.
Much appreciated
Never been to Austria but that architecture reminds me of St. Petersburg, wonder who copied who :D
Good question 👌
Incredible architecture, and your photos really do it justice 😀
But whoever is in charge of that red carpet should be taken out and given a good talking to ! It's guaranteed to trigger anyone with even the slightest degree of OCD..... like me, for example.....
I'm gonna talk to the manager about the carpet 😉
Very beautiful building, charming architecture
True.
