Oobit: Tap To Pay(With Crypto)
I got into crypto a bit over seven years ago, and although I haven't made much money from it, I've managed to cover a lot of my personal expenses with digital currencies over the years. With a few exceptions, I've avoided cashing into my personal bank account as much as possible.
As a matter of fact, I don't even know the balance of my bank account; it's probably zero or close to it. For a while, sometime between 2019 and 2020, I used Revolut for cashing out crypto, but when Binance launched their VISA card, I ordered one and have used it extensively.
After that, I acquired a Crypto.com card as well, and I also have one from Gate.io. I like to have multiple options for off-ramps when it comes to crypto. Today, I was supposed to receive an email from Oobit, a "tap to pay with crypto" app that's also a crypto exchange I tried a while back, stating that their services are now up and running.
I reinstalled the app to give it another try. I don't remember if I had completed any KYC (Know Your Customer) process, but all I needed to access my account was an email address and a password that I had some trouble remembering.
After logging in, I was prompted to add the digital card they provided to my Apple Pay wallet. After doing so, I transferred $4 worth of SOL to test if it works. I went to a supermarket, bought some eggs, and the app worked flawlessly.
I wouldn't advise anyone to transfer large amounts of crypto through this app yet, as I haven't established a trust score for it, but it's nice to know we have options. Checking the app, I noticed I can't see the card number for either the physical or digital card, which seems a bit odd.
I don't have a physical card, and I'm not even sure if I ordered one. However, my overall experience with the app so far has been smooth and fast. You can choose from a variety of coins to spend, from Bitcoin to meme coins; the app converts your chosen crypto into your local currency, allowing you to use it almost anywhere.
I say "almost anywhere" because it's a Mastercard, and not every retailer in this country might accept it, but I bet the most common ones do. I'm curious to see how it works for online payments, but since it's linked to Apple Pay, I assume that process will be straightforward as well.
I have a friend who uses the app on an Android phone, and it works well for him too, so if you feel like giving it a try, go for it. And if you want to use my referral link so we can both earn something (I'm not entirely sure what), feel free to use it.
That's about it from my side for now. I wish you all a great day and look forward to catching up with you next time.

Nice but no android app...
Ah, my mistake. In your link I can see playstore.
Ok. Fine then. Hope it works for you too.
The reviews online are not great, I will look at it later on.
I didn’t check for reviews. Just tried and will use it with small amounts of cash.
Have you tried the official site?

Did you calculate the fees they charge you?
