My Inner Kiddo...

I'm not sure if Children's Day is celebrated worldwide, but in my part of the world, we celebrate it every year on June 1st. I knew it was "that day" when I began receiving messages from my mom, dad, and sister... I felt like the youngest family member, which I'm not...

We used to love this time of year back in the day because not only did it mean we could play outside almost endlessly, but summer vacation was also just around the corner. Now, it seems like every day is a summer day, at least to me...

Although I'm no longer a kid and don't have children, I still celebrated the day with a few glasses of ice-cold rosé wine and some delicious food.

I went with some friends to a restaurant near my hometown, a lovely spot with a great view and tasty cuisine. The only non-traditional touch was the "champagne pancakes" you'll see in one of the following photos. They were heavenly!

What was a bit annoying, though, was the heat. Despite the roof they had, it felt like we were about to melt, even though it was only 27 degrees Celsius. I won't complain too much about the heat, though, as I've been missing it. Lately, I've had too much rain and cold.

June 1st marks the official start of summer, and it seems that warmer temperatures are ahead. We'll have some occasional rain, but overall, summer will be summer. I'm looking forward to hitting the pool...

Anyway, this was a short post dedicated to Children's Day. I wish all of your kids a fun day today, and may the adults live a happy and long life filled with the occasional ice-cold glass of wine!

Have a great Saturday, everyone, and see you all next time.
