Just Look Down For a Second...
People of old age are always wiser than the ones in their early twenties or thirties, and it’s kind of easy to get why. They've been through much more than the young ones. They've hit their heads against many walls along the way, tasted true happiness, and faced desperate grief as well.
I watched a short clip this morning on YouTube, a small part of an interview with one of the most renowned actors in Romania, and he said something interesting that had me thinking pretty much the whole day: God should’ve made life begin with death instead of birth... if that makes any sense.
It actually makes a lot of sense—especially for the elderly, who are lonely and have a hard time moving around or doing their daily chores. Very few still have full capabilities by the time they’re seventy or eighty years old. Old age sucks if you don’t do the right things when you’re young.
You see, we often look up in life. We look up at the ones who are doing better than us (better based on society’s standards), and we get frustrated because we might not have the things others have or experience the life others do. There’s always gonna be someone who has more or seems to be doing better than you.
But what about the ill, the handicapped, and the blind? I bet they’d be more than happy to live what we would call miserable lives. Sometimes, looking down is more productive than looking up—because when you look down, you get to see the unfortunate, and you start to value your own life more than you normally would.
That’s the starting point we need when we feel stuck or unhappy with what we have. It’s easier to look up—and by no means am I encouraging anyone to procrastinate or celebrate their miserable lives just because they’re not blind or deaf.
At some point, even the richest of the rich will realize that all the fortunes in the world can’t buy mobility, good sight, or overall well-being. I guess that’s what wealth really is… But society taught us something different—because society doesn’t want us free and healthy.
It wants us enslaved in debt and tortured by deceiving desires… Anyway, that’s about it from my so-called sunny part of the world. I wish you all a great day and I’ll catch you next time.
Thanks for your attention,
Adrian

These are wonderful, clear photos. The colors are beautiful and true, nothing too much and not too little.
