I'm Selling The Old Audi...

It's not the first time I'm putting my old Audi on the market. I've tried this before... Back in 2022, when it seemed like the sky wasn't gonna crash that hard on the crypto market, swapping my car felt like a solid plan. Luckily, I didn't get any offers, so I kept driving it for a few more years.

If I'd bought something newer back then, I probably would've had to sell it anyway 'cause of the shitty earnings I've had since. Holding on to the old diesel A4 has proven to be a good decision. I'm listing it again on a local ads app, and we'll see what offers come my way.

I'm asking a bit over $3,000 for it, and yeah, the price is negotiable. I'm selling 'cause I'm moving out of Romania to Austria in September, and I gotta sort this out before I go.

I'm set on this move because I desperately need a job, and in Romania, the kind of work I can get doesn't pay well. Plus, there's this shady fucker who got elected president, and he gives me bad vibes—like he's gonna drag Romania into the Russia-Ukraine war somehow.

I'm also thinking about the future... Romania's kinda bankrupt, and I don't see a way out of this mess. Moving to a country that's got its economic shit together just makes sense.

Why Austria? Well, my parents have been living there for a few years, so it'll be easier to settle in with a place to stay and folks to show me the ropes—maybe even help me land a job.

I worked in Germany for about a year, so I've got a head start on the language. I plan to take classes for a few months to really nail it.
Why not take the car with me?

It's only 900 KMs to Austria... Well, it's too old, registered in Romania, and I don't wanna deal with police hassle over there. They don't let you drive a car registered in another country for long, so I gotta ditch it by September.

It's been a damn good car, super reliable, and I hope once I'm settled in Austria, I can find one just as solid—maybe a bit newer. That's the plan, anyway... We'll see what life has in store for me.

Till next time, have a great day, and don't forget to take profits if we get any action on altcoins before the year's out.

Thanks for your attention,
Adrian

It is 2004. I wouldn't sell it had I not have to leave the country.

Would it be possible (and affordable) to re-register the car in Austria once you get there ?

Not worth it. It's about $2000 to do so... I would do that if it was cheaper

Ouch ! Yeah, maybe it's time to get a car in Austria. Is it the same kind of cost to re-register if you decide to go back to Romania one day and bring the car with you ?

So much for the EU being a single market.......

It's cheaper. It costs you something like 300 euros to register a car in Romania.

That's far more sensible ! It could be worth it if you find a really good car in Austria that you'd like to keep 😀
