It’s funny that people stay in their cars at the boat ramp to watch the sunrise. They are definitely missing out on the full sensory experience—the sound of the water and the fresh air. Your harbor walk shots prove that getting out and finding those angles is worth the effort.

I Guess some just prefer it that way but I cannot understand why for the reasons you s rightly state

well, shelter and maybe just to keep warm or cool depending on the weather of the time.
