A friend came back from Bangkok to Singapore during the recent General Election to vote. We arranged to meet for coffee and lunch recently. Was going to the Starbucks on the second floor at Suntec City but it was crowded on a Monday morning. So I suggested to go the McDonald’s.

最近大选期间，一位朋友从曼谷回新加坡投票。我们约好最近一起喝咖啡吃午餐。本来想去新达城二楼的星巴克，但周一早上人很多。所以我建议去麦当劳。

Cheers to the $1 weekday coffee at McDonald’s.

麦当劳工作日只要1新元的咖啡，真是太棒了。

After breakfast, we went to the Ibis Bencoolen Hotel where my friend was staying for lunch because the hotel gave him a $20 voucher.

早餐后，我们去了我朋友住的宜必思明古连酒店吃午餐，因为酒店给了他一张20新元的代金券。

I’ve been to this place before but it was quite a long time ago.

我以前来过这家酒店，但那是很久以前的事了。

The restaurant wasn't crowded at lunchtime.

午餐时间餐厅里人不多。

I could see the bar from where we sat.

从我们坐的地方可以看到吧台。

My friend ordered a plate of vadai to share. They were quite good.

我的朋友点了一份瓦代金券和大家分享。味道不错。

He had a seafood hor fun which he quite like and I had a vegetarian biryani and it was OK.

他点了一份海鲜河粉，他很喜欢；我点了一份素食印度香饭，味道还不错。

As we left, I saw this guy telling us to give them a LIKE. 😉

离开的时候，我看到一个人叫我们给他们点个赞。😉
