Trametes cubensis

A natural wonder in an empty space

This morning, while walking, I suddenly noticed some strange things in an empty space.I thought it was dirt on old wood, but when I got closer, I saw — they were actually small fungi or mushrooms! This little creation nature is like a work art in itself. So I took out my camera took few pictures.

These fungi usually grow on old wood, tree trunks damp places. They look bit like mixture brown, gray, and white. The surface is bit smooth, and the middle is a bit hard and rough. When you touch it feels like it is dry but there is moisture hidden inside. Such fungi play an important role in the environment they break down old wood rotten leaves return nutrients soil.

I used think this empty space as very ordinary. But today, these small mushrooms reminded me that the beauty nature is actually spread all around — you just have look closely find out. When their appearance was captured by the lens of my mobile phone, it felt like nature itself was telling a story, a story survival, change, and rebirth.

As I took the pictures, I felt that it is very important take some time out our busy lives look at these small wonders. Because, these tiny fungi teach us that life can be born anywhere, if the environment gives it a little chance.
