Fresh curry from the market is a different experience
When our lives are busy these days, fresh food from nature seems to bring a new vitality to our body and mind. This morning, I went to the local market in Shah Alam and encountered a completely new experience—seeing some fresh and strange vegetables whose name I had never heard of before, and even if I had heard the name, I had never used them—Tarit curry, or in the local language, many people call it 'baby kankrol' or 'small variety of kankrol'.
These vegetables look a lot like small kankrol, but the color was different, leaning from green to yellow. Each curry had small thorns, which made it attractive and unique. Talking the seller at the market, I learned that these vegetables are very nutritious. They contain lot fiber, vitamin C, and antioxidants that help increase our body's immunity.
When picked up these fresh vegetables, I immediately thought that special vegetables are not usually seen in our daily markets. I thought, I will try a new recipe when I get home. While walking in the market, I bought some more fresh vegetables like tomatoes, onions, green chilies and coriander leaves. But today's heroine was undoubtedly this instant curry.
When I got home, I made a simple yet delicious recipe. First, I washed the vegetables well. Then I cut them into small pieces, fried them in a little oil with onions and green chilies and added the instant curry to them. I covered them with a little turmeric, salt and a little sugar and cooked them for a while. The taste of the food was absolutely amazing, especially when served with hot rice, its taste doubles.
Not only in taste, but also in terms of health, this vegetable is very beneficial for us. Regular consumption helps in digestion, controls blood sugar levels and keeps the body healthy and refreshed. It can be a great choice for those suffering from diabetes or high blood pressure.
In addition, buying such fresh vegetables from local farmers means not only taking care of our own health, but also supporting the local agricultural system. If we buy and eat such fresh and nutritious food items from our own market, then we can play a role in the health and economic development of not only ourselves, but also the entire society.
Finally, it must be said that such experiences add a new dimension to our daily lives. It is really a pleasure to take some time out of the daily routine and visit the local market and discover something new. Fresh vegetables like scallions refresh not only our body but also our mind.
