Flood and rain in Pakistan
Hello everyone! I hope you are fine. I am also doing well. I want you all to remember me in your prayers.
My country is going through a tough time. A major part of Pakistan is submerged into water, and there is little the leadership is doing. Thankfully, there are not many casualties, but still, it is a very somber condition here in Pakistan. The monsoon has started, and Punjab, which is the biggest province of Pakistan population-wise, has been submerged into water.
I have been living in Islamabad for many days. Islamabad is the safest city to be at, and it had been raining cats and dogs in Islamabad as well. But it is a very well-managed city, and it did face urban flooding yesterday. But thankfully, the drainage system in this city is very effective, and we are all safe right now. And I really hope and wish that there are not many casualties.
The Lahore region is full of water because of the Ravi river, and it is expected that the Sindh province will also be affected in coming days because the water is moving towards the Indian ocean. But fingers crossed, and I hope that the people who cannot afford to move to better places are also safe.
The government is trying its best to evacuate the flood affectees. Almost two hundred thousand people have been evacuated right now, and there have been eight hundred casualties reported. Yesterday, it was raining so much; I was in this place, and it got darker at 6 PM, which is not normal. But we cannot do anything other than praying and keeping each other safe.
