I dedicated many hours to this game when it was new, so I didn't even have the expansions yet. The worst of the case was that I could never finish it, even I had no idea how much I needed to finish it. Skyrim is a great game, without a doubt it is one of my favorites, but I also have in mind to play the previous Morrowind and Oblivion, I have even read that the latter is better in story than Skyrim, but I will not know until I play them. Nice to read you @borjan and thanks for bringing back good memories.

I have some great memories of Morrowind and Oblivion. Morrowind was the first game I really got hooked on. I tried to play some games before but my focus never lasted long. Morrowind is still my greatest gaming experience ever. When it comes to the world-building and creature design, is still the best of all those Elder Scrolls games. It has that alien, almost Science Fiction atmosphere that I like more than the typical fantasy. Oblivion was all about that typical medieval European fairy tale atmosphere, but I liked it nonetheless. Especially the grotesque and beautiful Shivering Isles expansion. However, I didn't play Oblivion and Skyrim nearly as much as Morrowind. That may change in the future, but for now, Morrowind is still the number one experience for me. Although the combat and some other things are much more fun in later games, I admit that.

I really liked the combat style of Skyrim. However, I am one of those who has a preference for old school games, so reading your comment, it is possible that morrowind will end up becoming another of my favorites, I have to dedicate time to these games. Currently, the only RPG I have is Neverwinter nights 1 and 2, the rest are all Strategy: company of heroes, age of empires 2, Age of wonders, Warhammer 40.000 soul storm and Blood bowl.
