Spring's Flowers

Don't you just love Spring. The short Winter days start to give way to longer Spring evenings and the beauty of nature starts to show herself again and flowers begin to bud and bloom.

This Shrub is visible from the kitchen window and it's always nice to look outside at the colours of the different blooms as I do the dishes or cook the dinner.

I especially like perennials like these that come back year after year with a minimum of effort required on my side.

Some of these pots need to be replenished, so I'll have to pay a visit to the garden centre soon and get some nice new colourful potting plants.

I do like this Shrub when it comes into season in early spring and bursts into a show of gorgeous pink blooms like the ones below.

It won't be long now until the entire shrub is covered in these flowers and the rest of the garden will start to come to life. I still have a lot to do with the place, but for now my attention is on getting our driveway tarmacced, so the planting in the garden will have to wait another while.
