Tolu was the only child of her parent, and all their eyes had been on him from childhood, so many things that other kids did he couldn’t dare them. He felt so uncomfortable with it, but grew into it that way.

He is now a teenager and about to go to a tertiary institution, but his parent, especially his mother, still has a tight hold on him, and he is trying very hard to break that grip.

He decided to go out one day, he informed his mom about his going, but did not provide a clear description. After a while, the mom expected him to call her to inform her about his arrival at his destination, but he didn’t call, so the mom decided to call. She called his phone over and over, but he wasn't picking up, and there was tension everywhere as she couldn’t hear from him. The mom called the dad to inform him and told him to try calling him too. She did all she could, but to no avail. So she decided to go in search of her son. She got to his school only to find out the guy was about to write an exam, so he had already put the phone in silent mode.

Although she didn’t tell her mom about the exam because her mom would confirm the time for the exam from the teacher, and he still wants to get some things done that his mom won’t allow before going to school.

The mom sat down there to wait until he was done with the exam so that both of them could go home together. Tolu felt embarrassed but didn’t know what to do about the situation.
