Modernization has done a lot of good for our children's lives. In another way, it has also caused harm, but there is a need for one to cut such harm short for our kids.

Electronics is something we must not run away from as the world moves forward. We always move with electronics. In the past, there was no means of surfing the Internet for information, but today it has become the talk of the day.

Children of the past did not have access to phones but were just focused on their books or what their teachers had given to them in the class. Textbooks were just the order of the day. I remembered during my days, my parents did not allow me to use a phone, not even to search for something online. Although they had no means (money) to buy me one. They were struggling to pay my school fees. In another way, they were so disciplined to the extent of not allowing me to visit my friends. Any of my friends who come to my house for a visit would be ready for a serious phase of an exam with my parents. They would question them to the last level just to make sure they were not the bad types.

Back to business;

The use of phones by children has disadvantages and advantages.
Most kids used the means of phones to date each other and even watch different kinds of bad videos that can corrupt their lives. When I was still in school, a rich man's daughter was in my school. The school did not allow the use of phones, but this girl always comes to school with her phone hidden in her bag. She always places it on silent so as to keep secrets.

One day she happened to open the phone in our presence. She was struggling to log into her Facebook account, but I had to help her with the login. We were just three in the cubicle hidden tightly. I checked her messages and discovered that she always chatted with a guy. Their chats were not ordinary chats, but deep in nature. I was amazed to see such a little girl having a guy she was calling her boyfriend. This happened after she got the phone as a gift from her dad. She was a gentle and quiet girl, but after she got that phone, her character changed totally.

Students can lose concentration when they start using phones in school. The best student would turn out to be the worst in class if care is not taken. It can make the students lose some habits in him or her.

Children using phones, in another way, are right. Since one can use it to search the Internet for some difficult assignments. Most times, one just has to read online after reading through the textbook; one has just to compare for proper understanding.

Using phones, I can say, has both negative and positive sides, which I had stated above. In the school my husband teaches, they make use of slides to teach the students. The students would somehow have to do their homework on the school Portal. Most of them make use of phones. I mean good phones, but not ordinary phones. They also have their laptops and tablets, which they always use.

So, it can help to ease teachers' work. Instead of making them write plenty of notes, the teacher can refer them to the portal or online with a link.
