That Unexpected People's During Journey

Many people have told me this and I keep hearing this many times that one should not expect anything from a person. I find this thing to be true to a large extent because if you expect anything from a person, it is not necessary that he/she will fulfill your expectations. Nowadays most of the people are such who look for their own benefit and they do not care about the expectations of others. This incident may have happened with you many times that you may have expected something else from a person but that person actually turns out to be the opposite. This has happened with me many times. I will tell you two incidents based on this experience.

This incident happened about 6 years ago. I was going to another city to drop off a relative of mine. I was travelling by train for some time. My relative who was travelling with me was an elderly person and he had a lot of back pain. Our train was at night and we reached the railway station a little earlier. The train arrived on the platform almost on time and we boarded on time. It must have been around 8:00 in the evening. We had eaten food from home because I knew that eating food in a train is a little inconvenient and the relative who was with me was also unable to eat food while sitting in the train.

There was a problem with us that when we booked the train ticket, I got the upper berth seat and I got the lower berth seat. It was around 8:30 and my relative told me that I will have to sleep because he was very tired and he was also having pain in his back and legs. Now as he was admitted in the middle, he was having a little trouble sitting there and he also had to sleep.

There were three of us in the lower berth. One man was about 35 years old and looked very angry. He had a long beard. He was looking very angry.
He had received a call from someone and he was scolding him, his voice was also rude. Now the middle berth of the train can be opened only after 10:00, not before that and the person can sit in the lower berth till 10:00, after that the person who has the lower berth can sleep in that berth. I did not feel like asking that person if we can exchange our seats because I was expecting that he would refuse me. After some time my relative again requested me to make some arrangement for me to sleep and I could not resist and I asked that person. I asked very lovingly that Sir can you help me? He said normally that what help do you need, so I told him that my relative is here and he has a lot of pain in his back and legs and he needs rest, so can you exchange seats and sleep in the middle berth because his health is not good and he is feeling sleepy and it is still time for 10:00 so can you give him your seat. Shakti said very lovingly that yes of course. You take my seat and I will adjust in the middle berth. I was shocked to hear his words because I did not expect this from him. Then I and my relative thanked him, then he told us very politely that if you have any problem then tell me.

Now an incident happened opposite to this. This happened about 3 years ago. I had gone to another city for some important work which is about 100 kms from our house. I got late in the evening so I decided to stay at my relative's place. When I called my relative, he told me to come by auto till the highway and after that I will have to come on foot because there is no transport facility from there and there was no one to drive their personal transport and their house was quite far inside. I said okay, I will manage somehow.

After about 15 minutes, I reached the highway and sat in the auto and in 20 minutes I reached the point from where I had to go towards my relative's house. I had a lot of luggage and I could not walk with so much luggage, it was a bit difficult.

Then I saw that a boy whose age was around 30 years was going in his bike towards the same path on which I had to go. That boy looked very decent and there was a polite expression on his face, so I thought that he might help me. I signaled him to stop by giving him my hand and before I could say anything, he said to me in a loud voice that what is this way of stopping a vehicle, if you don't know why are you stopping my vehicle. I said very politely that Sir I am sorry for the convenience provided to you but I need a help and I told him that I have to go to my relatives' place but I have a lot of heavy luggage so I will not be able to walk that much, so you give me a lift till wherever you are going, even if you take some money in return. He replied to me very rudely that I am not your servant who will drop you till there, if you do not have the facility of a vehicle then why do you go anywhere and he also started telling me that keep this money with yourself, I am not a taxi driver. Saying all this, he started his bike and kept moving ahead. For a moment I was really confused as to what I had said to him. Then I thought that maybe I was expecting something from this person which I shouldn't have.
