Profit vs Ethics in Business

Hello to all hive users 🤗❤️🙏
Hope you all are healthy and doing great in your life🙂

You go to a shop and buy any item from there and after that when there are many people there, then often we talk about how much profit this person is making by selling this item. Then we start calculating that the total expenditure of this person is so much which comes in the cost of this item and then we subtract the cost price and the selling price, after that we get a price which is the profit of that person. In many places the profit is very high but in many places the profit is very low. No shopkeeper would want to reduce it ever and he always looks at his profit because he has opened this shop only for profit, if the profit does not work there then he will be in loss, then what is the benefit of opening his shop.

Many times it happens that we go to a shop and the shopkeeper behaves very badly and no matter how cheap the goods are there, people never go to such a shop. The customer wants a shopkeeper who has good behavior and who sells the goods at a good price so that the shopkeeper does not suffer a loss and the customer also feels that he is selling the goods at the right price. I still remember that there was a shop in our city and the shopkeeper there behaved very badly. That shop was a clothes shop. If you go to buy clothes from there, then obviously you will see many pieces and only then you will be able to like any cloth, but that person was very rude and used to tell you before paying for the clothes that it takes a lot of effort to open the packing of the clothes, so I will be able to show you the clothes from outside the packing and if you have come just to pass time then you can go. Now think for yourself that if a shopkeeper says this, would you like to stay there even for 1 minute. While this shop was in the main market and there were many clothes shops nearby, anyone would prefer to go to some other shop because the behavior of that person was very bad. Once a friend of mine told me that he had gone to buy clothes from him but he did not like any of the clothes and he said that I do not like any of the clothes, I will look somewhere else, then the shopkeeper scolded my friend very badly.

If we talk about profit and behavior, then it is very important that both are equal. If you keep good behavior, then people will be drawn towards you because the customer will feel that this person's behavior is good and we can talk to him openly about our favorite thing and he will not disappoint us. I see many shopkeepers who talk to people very happily and no matter how much crowd is there in the shop, they treat all the customers very well and do not show any hurry. The shopkeeper who will take profit and behavior together can never suffer a loss and customers will always come to him in large numbers. Earning profit is also very important, the person doing business has opened this business only for the maintenance of himself and his family and if he does not get profit, then he will not be able to earn any money and how will he maintain himself and his family. But it is right to earn profit only up to the limit because if a person is selling more expensive than the limit, then people themselves do not buy the goods and they find some other option because nowadays there are many options. Monopoly works where there is only one shop in a remote area, then people will have to buy the goods at whatever rate it is available because it will become their compulsion to buy the goods.

the main aim of a business is truly to make profit but business owners should always fix prices that will not drive there customers away. the behavior of a business owner also determines the patronage of the business too sometimes. good points you have noted boss.

You are right. The prices of all things should be fixed by the union so that no one can do as he pleases.

I just remembered how many times I refused buying from a neighbor due to their nasty attitude despite their great prices. Honestly profit making and business ethics are two sides of a coin that one should never be compromised for the other
