Privatization of Roads & Water Will Be Very Wrong Decision

If we see, there are many things around us which were once government owned but now are owned by the private sector. There are many government things which were completely under the government at one time but now the government does not own them at all. In today's time, the government is handing over many things to the private sector. I do not think this is right because the things which the government is giving to the private sector then the private sector company gets the rights over those things and this means that the private company which owns those things starts doing as it pleases. The best example of this is contractor works. In today's time, this thing has become very common that you will definitely find contract employees in any office. Contract employees are those who are hired by a contractor in a government office and they are kept there at a very low salary. If the government hires any government employee for work, then first of all the government will have to pay him a good salary and will have to provide many other facilities along with it, due to which the expenditure on the government will increase. To deal with all these things, the government recruits through contractors so that their work gets done in one-fourth the time.

If we are talking about roads and water here, then I will be strongly against this thing and this is a very bad decision. First of all, if we talk about roads, then roads are for all the people of the public and a private person cannot have rights over it. If this happens, then only that private sector will start doing its own will. Although the government also charges toll tax for vehicles to run on many roads, but this is only for vehicles, the general public can travel there without any money, but if this happens then many people will have to face many problems and the environment will get spoiled. By the way, what is the need for this thing, it is just a useless thing. This type of decision will bring a feeling of rebellion in the people and many people will protest against it and many such activities can happen in the country which should not happen.

If we talk about water, then it is not at all for this thing. First of all, water is not the property of any government but it is a natural resource and all the people living on earth have a right to it, whether it is a human or an animal. If the government is taking tax for water, then it should ensure that the public gets clean water in return for the tax it collects in the morning. Anyway, tax has to be paid for water but it is very important to improve the quality and the government can also do this work, why take the help of the private sector for this. If everything is given to the private sector like this, then a time will come when this private sector will start doing as it pleases and will collect money from the public as per its wish. We can do a lot in government things so that the government will understand our point, but we cannot do anything against the private sector, they will just keep doing as they please.

There are many examples around us where government things have been handed over to private ownership and now the condition of those things is very bad. Look at the condition of the people who have to avail those facilities, how much they are troubled. If we see many such examples, then it will be proved that giving these things to Nijesh Samiti will only cause trouble to the public. Why should we give things to a private entity which the government is capable of doing. Well, there are some things which are out of the control of the government and they have to be given to the private sector, but if even small things are given to the private sector, then a time will come when a private company will run the entire country and at that time I can say with certainty that the condition of the country will be very bad.
