Online Friendship vs Face to Face Friendship
Hello to all hive users π€β€οΈπ
Hope you all are healthy and doing great in your lifeπ
As technology continues to evolve, new things are constantly emerging in society. Technology has given us many things, but one thing that has become quite popular lately is online friendship. In today's world, everyone needs a friend, and sometimes it happens that you can't make friends in real life because you feel that your thoughts and opinions don't match theirs. In such cases, online friendship can often connect you with good friends. In the last few years, I've seen many dating applications available on the internet, and their sole purpose is to connect strangers whose thoughts and interests align. If they become friends, they can then meet in person and become very good friends in real life. Now, the question is, can online friendship replace real-life friendship? First, let's talk about the advantages of online friendship. The first advantage is that in online friendship, you don't need to hesitate to express yourself, and you can share your thoughts with the other person without any reservations. In real-life friendships, we often hesitate to talk about certain things and can't express ourselves fully, but this is not the case with online friendships. The second advantage of online friendship is that there are no limits; you can make friends with people living in any corner of the world. There are applications that connect you with people who have similar interests. We often like people who share our interests, so we want to befriend such people. Real-life friendships have certain limitations; you are confined to a certain circle, and there are many other restrictions.

Now let's talk about the advantages of real-life friendships. The first advantage is that in real-life friendships, you get the experience of talking to each other face-to-face, and this experience can never be replicated in online friendships because in those, you either chat or have online video calls, etc. When you talk to someone face-to-face, you learn many things about them, and seeing the person in front of you allows you to understand more about their personality and behavior. This is something you can't experience in online friendships. The second advantage is that in real-life friendships, you experience more trust and confidence, which is somewhat doubtful in online friendships because we don't know how true the things the other person has told us are, as we can't physically interact with them or know much about them. Another advantage of real-life friendships is that if you ever need help, your friend can be there for you because they are nearby, so you can call them anytime or go to them for help. In online friendships, however, if you need a friend, you can't call them or go to them for help because often you are good friends but live far apart, which prevents you from being there for each other in real life. Friendship isn't just about talking; it's also about meeting each other and spending time together. Only then do we get a better opportunity to get to know each other. True bonding happens when we meet each other, sit together, or go out together, etc. Online friendships can fill the void of having friends, but they can never replace a real-life friend.

Yes you're right, both online and offline friends have advantages. But the reason why some people prefer online friends is because you're free to share your deepest secrets without them telling people but with offline friends, if you tell them your deepest secrets and something leads to both of you to have misunderstanding, they won't hesitate to tell people your secrets. And reason why people love online friends is because there's no limitation, they will be free with eachother despite their age differences but in offline friends they will let you know that you can't talk to them anyhow because they're older than you that's why some people prefer online friends.
These days, people prefer online friendships because there are no limitations. But true friendship is face-to-face, where friends can be there for each other.
