A Moment's Help Become Lifetime's Memory

Hello to all hive users 🤗❤️🙏
Hope you all are healthy and doing great in your life🙂

We have many relationships in our lives with whom we are connected. Some relationships are very close to us, and we get a chance to meet them at least once a week or a month. Some relationships are those with whom we interact daily, like our neighbors or our office colleagues. While all these relationships are visible, are all of them truly genuine and loyal to you? This is revealed when a person faces trouble, and who comes to their aid at that time becomes very important. Sometimes, you may know many people, but when you're in trouble, no one comes forward to help, and then a stranger steps in. You remember the help given by that stranger for a lifetime because the importance of that help is immense.

A similar incident happened to me, and a stranger, like an angel, came into my life and helped me out of my trouble. This happened about 9 years ago. At that time, I was working in a different city, in another state. As usual, I left for the office on time in the morning and reached there on time. It was the monsoon season, and the weather looked like it was going to rain. It had been raining every day, but that day, the weather seemed particularly bad from the morning, and it looked like there would be heavy rain. It was around 12:00 PM, and as soon as I came out after lunch, I saw that it had started raining heavily. The rain was so intense that it was making a lot of noise. Then I got back to my work, and when I looked outside again, the rain was even heavier. It was around 4:00 PM. I got back to my work again, and around 6:30 PM, when the office was about to close, I went outside and saw that the rain showed no signs of stopping. When I looked towards the road, there was a lot of water accumulated, and in a way, the cars were almost half submerged in the water; there was so much waterlogging.

The other employees I was with were staying in the local office quarters, but I was staying with my relatives, so I had to go home. Our office wasn't on the main road, but on a road in a residential colony, which meant there was a lot of waterlogging because the road was quite narrow. Now I had to somehow get from that road to the main road, but the only mode of transport available was an auto-rickshaw, and they weren't running due to the heavy rain. I couldn't walk because it was raining heavily, and the water was almost up to my waist. It was essential for me to get home because I was undergoing treatment for a lung condition, and I couldn't miss taking my medication for even a single day. No cab services were operating at that time either, which left me completely helpless. After about an hour, the rain subsided a little, and I took out my umbrella from my bag and headed towards the road in the light rain. I tried to flag down several cars for a ride, but no one stopped. I kept trying to get a ride for about half an hour, but no one offered any help. With the water still up to my waist, I started walking. The distance from that road to the main road was about two kilometers. Walking in the water was extremely difficult. I had probably walked about two or three hundred meters when a car suddenly stopped, and an elderly man, probably over 50 years old, was sitting inside. He very kindly asked me where I needed to go, so I told him the name of the place. He said he would drop me off, so I asked him to drop me at the main road, from where I would be able to find further transportation. He agreed, and I, half-drenched, got into his car. It was difficult for the uncle to drive because the road was so flooded that the car had to move very slowly, and he had to drive with great caution.

It took him about 20 minutes from the road to the main road and finally when I reached the main road, Uncle said that if you want, I can drop you till your house but I saw that trains were running on the main road and I would get some bus or auto. I told Uncle that you take me off this and I thanked Uncle wholeheartedly. Uncle just smiled and said that son be happy and progress in life. After this I got an auto after about 5 minutes and it rained on you too. Finally around 9:30 I reached home. I always remember that help because if that uncle didn't help me, then maybe I would either reach home after a long time or I would have to stay outside the same office. In fact, that uncle came in my life like an angel in a way and he helped me a lot.

I had never had such an experience before, and I doubt I've had one since where someone helped me so much.

Thanks for reading my post till the end.

Yeah we can really get help from outsiders just that the one has turn to something else that we find it difficult to trust anyone.
