Sinners (2025)
I’m still in awe of how talented Michael B. Jordan is because what?! I don’t even know if I should say talented or gifted, but I just know that this movie makes Michael whoever he thinks he is. I’m sure you all have seen the ongoing hype about sinners, and I must say it is worth every single hype.
About the movie
Sinners is a 2025 horror/adventure movie about identical twins, Stacks and Smoke, who came back to their hometown after traveling to Chicago to make money the wrong way. After returning, they bought a house from a racist and turned it into a nightclub.
With the help from their little cousin, Sammy, who could play the guitar; two other musicians (a pianist and a singer); Smoke’s wife, who came in as a cook; and help from others, they were able to set up the place for that night.
As the night began, they all started to enjoy themselves with Sammy’s performance, which unknowingly began to summon spirits from the past and future. And as that went on, a supernatural evil got woken, and then each and every one in there got confronted.
My Thoughts
For someone who is not even the least fan of horror movies, I’m very surprised I could sit through everything and watch from opening act to the end. And that should tell you one thing: they focused more on the story behind why the evil was happening. They were more focused on the storyline and didn’t try to bring in any unnecessary thing to make it so scary.
I actually fell in love with everything in this movie, but let me start with the acting. Just the mere fact that Michael starred as twins and killed each role makes him GOATED for me. All the other characters also did so well, but of course, my favorite was Remmick, the man whose presence changed everything in the movie.
I also really loved how they paid attention to the movie setting. They didn’t miss anything at all. They made sure to make everything looked like it was in the 1900s since that was the whole point of the movie.
When you watch the movie, nobody will tell you to admire the cinematography, especially the scene where Sammie began to play the guitar and the spirits started being summoned. It was a whole masterpiece on its own with how they merged the spirits with humans all having fun.
Personally, this movie was all about community and our loved ones. How far one goes for the people he/she loves, or let me just say we can all be sinners when it comes to the people we love. At a point, I was supposed to be scared, but I was rather emotional after seeing people being blinded by the fact that their loved ones had become possessed. And it felt real because I don’t think I would care after seeing my loved ones in that situation. All I would want is to be with them at whatever cost.
Another thing they also did a great job at was educating us on the power of music. Over the years, there have been several debates about the fact that music is backed by power. So I was glad they finally brought a visual representation of Sammy’s performance summoning spirits. This movie is a solid 9/10 from me. I’m taking that 1 just because it’s not on Netflix.

Is this movie on Netflix? For the fact that it has some bit of horror scenes in it, I'm in. I actually love Michael Jordan's movies, he acts so well.
Naa, it’s not on Netflix

You brothers?
I really wish this movie was on Netflix.
But now I am gonna watch it anyway
Oh cool.
Michael B Jordan is a great actor, in Creed or Black Phanter he did amazing. It is known that whatever role he is given he will do it without a problem. I have yet to see the movie, I'll have to go to the theater because it will be a long time before it comes out in digital.
He really is so good at all his roles and he just keeps getting better.
Yes, that’s why I even went to watch it at the cinema.
