Sheroes: Watch or Pass?

Have you ever read a story or watched a movie and then you caught yourself asking if that was it? After watching Sheroes, I was so shy for the producer, the cast and most especially the story writer. I couldn’t help but wonder if there was even an inspiration behind this movie.

About the movie

Sheroes is a 2023 movie about a group of girls(Diamond, Ryder, Daisy and Ezra) who went on a vacation to Thailand. Everything was okay till Ryder opened her bag and found it filled with drugs. Instead of calling the police, they decided to use some of the drugs and then figure out what to do the next day.

They were met by their worse nightmare when they woke up the following day to see that Daisy had been kidnapped and the only they could get her back was to return the drugs they found. They then began planning on how to go for their friend.

My thoughts

I think they had a good story but the storyline was just too crooked and it just made little to no sense. There was no plot twist too. Everything was just so predictable. At a point, it felt like they were reading my mind because I would say something and it would just happen. For an action movie, it was just too boring.

I’ve watched the woman king and other powerful action movies where the women were heroes but if that was the point of this move, then they definitely missed it. And that just makes me sad.

And the acting? It was just so funny. I think that at some point, the characters forgot to be in character and it got confirmed at the end. So during the main action, there was a lot of shooting and one of the girls, Ezra, got shot and started bleeding out. She couldn’t even sit properly but in the end, I think she forgot she had been shot.

Because tell me someone who has been shot was standing well on her feet looking at her friend have a conversation with their opponent. And I even thought she was going to limp into the jet but she joined her friends to model into their private jet. I was just so shocked that I kept asking if that was not the same person who got shot.

My rating

The cinematography was manageable but I believe some scenes were very unnecessary. So unnecessary. I was trying so hard to understand the whole lesson behind this movie and I don’t think I even got it. I’m going to leave this movie at 2/10. Don’t watch it.
