Below The “Ladder”

The other day, I went to the spa with my friend. She was the one getting the pedicure and all, while I was just an escort. And so when we got there, we were offered a seat. I realized the place was too hot for the kind of aesthetics they had.
I looked around for an A/C and realized they had one, so I proceeded to ask the owner why the place was so hot. He then pointed to a shattered window. The glass had broken and even fallen off; hence, they couldn’t turn on the A/C.
Listen, I had already seen that damage. In fact, it was the first thing we saw when we entered, but I didn’t want to just ask about it. I needed to have a conversation that would lead to me asking about it. If that makes sense. So the owner started telling me all about it. He said there was a shipping company beneath them (they were on the first floor) whose truck with a full load hit their glass and just broke it all off. And then he added that he has even decided to call the police in case the shipment company doesn’t fix the window that day.
For those who don't understand what this means, he has a certain type of anger harbored in his heart. But then instead of him facing the real culprit, he was just there, waiting for the easiest target to pounce on. And most of the time, this prey is the employees, but then again, the employees looked very professional (like they knew their worth), so he couldn't just put that anger on them.

About 10 minutes later, a group of men came to fix the broken glass. And that was how I realized how unfair climbing the financial ladder in society is. When the owner of the spa was telling me about the incident, he was so frustrated, but of course, he couldn’t pour it all on me because he wasn't "paying me."
But with the people fixing the glass, he was so angry with them, and all he did was to pour his frustration on them. Why? Because they were going to get paid in the end. (Or he probably knows them and knows they aren't rich?) He wasn’t the only one. The shipping company that hired them were also pouring their frustration on them. And I realized that both sides were angry with each other but couldn’t show it because they were both rich. And so the next easy target was the group of men, even though they were doing a great job.
You should have seen the unnecessary criticism and pressure the owner of the spa was giving them. And this is all because??? I don't even know. So just imagine this: the men will also go home so angry and frustrated and just pour all that on their families, when in fact, they don't even deserve any of that. I really hope those on top of the ladder know how far their actions go and just decide that at least once a week, “we’ll just be kind” even if it's not something they can do all the time.
