A Minute To Appreciate Hive
I told one of my friends about Hive somewhere in March and she was so excited that there was actually a place where she could write her unadulterated thoughts and not be judged. We tried creating an account for her, but the network was bad, so we didn’t succeed that day.
She then asked for the link to my blog to see the things I write about. I was actually happy that she asked for that because, to me, that meant she would get familiar with the blockchain even before getting an account. That evening she came back to me surprised about my blog. I was a little confused, so I asked why she was surprised and she said she realized that I've been posting everyday from the beginning of the year. And that was something she could never do even if she tried.
I understood what she meant by that because she’s a doctor in one of the big Hospitals in Accra, Ghana, and her schedule is really packed. I told her that she didn’t have to post every day like me but she still didn’t stop talking about my blog in admiration. She kept on asking me how I was doing it and she also kept comparing my schedule to hers. And then started asking if there was a secret I wasn’t telling her.
To be honest, I really enjoyed her admiration because she’s one of the most intelligent people I know, and for her to start seeing me like Einstein? Ohhhh, that was so cool.
If I’m being honest, I actually like to write every day because that’s my daily little achievement that makes me feel unstoppable. Like you mean I get to actually write my thoughts after a long day for people to relate to me? Tell me this isn’t cool.
Aside from that, another thing I’ve realized (oh this is a hack that most people don’t know) is that people start seeing you differently when they see that you’ve been writing every day since the year started. For me, I have literally landed projects just because of my Hive blog. You know what? I'll probably add this to my CV.
There was this time that someone recommended me for a project and then the panel asked me what makes me different from the others. And then I told them I always take full responsibility over things entrusted to me. I have a blog where I’ve been writing every blessed day since the beginning of the year. I have followers who are following me for my content, so I make sure to deliver every day.
To be honest, I don’t know why I said that, but I did. And the next minute, they requested to have a look at my Hive blog. I showed them, and they were so impressed. (I even used that as an opportunity to promote Hive.) And yes, I got the project.
So for me, Hive is not just a virtual diary or blockchain. It’s a place I come to feel proud of my little daily accomplishments. A place I come to be inspired. A place I come to remind myself of how much I've grown as a person and a brand. And I must say I’ll always be grateful because these blogs may seem like nothing, but they’ve been keeping me going for a long time.
Images are mine

It really is no joke at all. It’s something we should be very proud of.

This is me wishing I can writes at least once a week, one thing I've noticed with the Hive Blockchain is that it tests your consistency and commitment to things.
