Hello, friends and coffee lovers

I think I can safely say that everyone in the community loves going out for a good cup of coffee at a coffee shop. That feeling of arriving at a coffee shop and enjoying the atmosphere, the service, and, of course, the coffee, is comparable to few things in life.

However, the tradition and culture of coffee begins at home.

Because I'm here in this community, where everyone can understand our joy, I'm making this post today: My wife and I got our first cups.

We were at a market and saw them. I loved the shape from the start. I liked it because it's the perfect size for the cortaditos @elviguitarra likes. It's not too big, not too small: perfect.

I persuaded her to buy it for her, and she chose the color. I surprised her with my reason for why she should buy it for her, and she surprised me by saying that we would have to buy two, since I had to have mine, matching hers.

And nothing more was said. We bought the mugs.
But it didn't seem like enough, so I bought him a new coffee, and we tried it out. Pilón coffee.

We'd never bought it before. It's quite good. It's a strong coffee with an exquisite aroma. From the moment we opened it, that smell of roasted coffee filled the kitchen.
In less than a minute, we had the coffee pot on and the milk warm. Once it was brewed, I made him his cortadito, with a pinch of cinnamon, and I drank my coffee hot, black.

And I add that "hot" because when I drink coffee at home, I enjoy the coffee ceremony even more. I mean smelling the coffee grounds, enjoying the sound of the coffee brewing, and that wonderful smell that announces it's ready. Then, before drinking it, I hold the cup with both hands and feel the warmth of the coffee.
The coffee ceremony is unique to each person, and that's one of those everyday wonders.

I think we all have our coffee routines at home. I hope others in the community share theirs with us.

Hola, amigos y amantes del café

Creo poder asegurar que a todos en la comunidad nos encanta salir a tomarnos un buen café en las cafeterías. Esa sensación de llegar a la cafetería y disfrutar desde la ambientación, del servicio y, claro está, del café, es comparable con pocas cosas en la vida.

Sin embargo, la tradición y cultura del café, comienza en el hogar.

Por estar aquí en esta comunidad, donde todos pueden entender nuestra alegría, es que realizo esta publicación de hoy: Mi esposa y yo estrenamos tazas.

Íbamos por un mercado y las vimos. A mí me encantó la forma desde un inicio. Me gustó porque tiene el tamaño ideal para los cortaditos que le gusta a @elviguitarra. No es ni muy grande, ni pequeña: perfecta.

La embullé a comprársela y ella escogió el color. La sorprendí con mi razón del por qué debería comprársela y ella me sorprendió al decirme que entonces debíamos comprarnos dos, ya que yo tenía que tener la mía, a juego con la de ella.

Y no se dijo más. Compramos las tazas.
Pero no me parecía suficiente, así que le compré y estrenamos un nuevo café. El café Pilón.

Nunca lo habíamos comprado. Es bastante bueno. Es un café fuerte y de un aroma exquisito. Desde el mismo momento en que lo abrimos, ese olor a café tostado inundó la cocina.
En menos de un minuto tuvimos la cafetera puesta y la leche tibia. Una vez colado, le preparé su cortadito, con una pizca de canela y yo me tomé el café negro, caliente.

Y hago esa acotación de caliente, porque, cuando tomo el café en la casa, disfruto más de esa ceremonia cafetera. Me refiero a oler el polvo del café, disfrutar del sonido del café cuando está colando y ese olor maravilloso que anuncia que está listo. Luego, antes de beberlo, agarro la taza con ambas manos y siento el calor del café.
La ceremonia del café es única en cada uno y esa es una de esas maravillas cotidianas.

Creo que todos tenemos nuestras rutinas del café en nuestras casas. Ojalá y otros de la comunidad nos contaran las suyas.
