The best combination there is: literature and coffee / La mejor combinación que existe: literatura y café (eng-esp)

Hello friends of coffee and literature. Today I'm approaching you with this proposal: let's combine two of the things I love most in the world: reading and drinking coffee in the company of friends.
This morning, I was walking with my wife, we passed by a book stand, and I came across this beauty.

For a writer, meeting the Masters of world literature, with whom the way we write today was built; Reconnecting with those stories that shaped my childhood and youth is priceless, and there's no way to explain it in a few words.
So without thinking twice, I paid what they asked for the book, and with it under my arm (after the usual ritual of smelling and skimming it), we continued on our way to our favorite coffee shop, "Café Real."

From the moment we walked in, Julio, the best bartender there, greeted us with a phrase that's become familiar to us: two cappuccinos? Of course we nodded and sat down to wait. I'd never been so glad it took a few minutes for the coffee to arrive at the table.

So I took advantage of the opportunity to open it, look through the table of contents, and ask my wife to take a few photos of me.
Julio arrived soon after with the coffee. He asked me about the book, and I showed it to him. He had already read most of the stories, as is the case with almost all of us who grew up reading.
Thank goodness my wife knows me and supports me in my professional career, because since Julio left, I started reading.

I'm part of the group who prefers their coffee piping hot (with the exception of the light Frappuccino, a flavor I recently discovered). However, today it took us a while to start enjoying it.
In fact, I finished my cappuccino almost at the moment Elvira was finishing hers. And she sure takes her time.
The point is that all the necessary and ideal factors came together to fully enjoy both the coffee and the reading.

The music that filled the Café Real was instrumental and at a volume that allowed you to enjoy it and the conversation with your companion. It was beautiful and relaxing background music.
I don't know how, but everything conspired to create almost total silence in the room. Only occasionally broken by the sound of the coffee machine, a sound so well received by all of us and, therefore, not bothersome; quite the opposite.
My wife started looking for information for her doctoral thesis and left me to my reading.
The coffee was exquisite. I sipped a small amount and enjoyed it with all my senses: the warmth of the cup, the sound of the spoon stirring, my sight, watching the cinnamon disappear into the milk foam, even that taste that lingers in our mouths after swallowing.
And if you add Chekhov's magnificent prose to that, you have the ideal combination to enjoy all your loves for more than an hour at the same time:
Elvira, High Literature, and coffee.
I encourage you to try it. Find a good book and a good coffee shop. Enjoy that little piece of earthly paradise I just told you about.

Hola amigos el café y de la literatura. Hoy me acerco ustedes con esta propuesta: vamos a combinar dos de las cosas que más amo en el mundo, leer y tomar café en compañía de amigos.
En la mañana de hoy, caminaba con mi esposa, pasamos cerca de un puesto donde vendían libros y me encontré con esta belleza de aquí.

Para un escritor, encontrarse con los Maestros de la literatura universal, con los que se edificó la forma en que se escribe hoy en día; reencontrarme con aquellas historias que marcaron mi infancia y juventud, es algo que no tiene precio y no hay forma de explicarlo en pocas palabras.
Así que sin pensarlo pagué lo que me pidieron por el libro y con él bajo el brazo (luego del cosabido ritual de olerlo y darle una ojeada), continuamos el camino hacia nuestro café preferido el “Café Real”.

Desde el momento en que entramos, Julio, el mejor bartender de aquel recinto, nos recibió con una frase ya habitual con nosotros ¿dos capuchinos?
Por supuesto que asentimos y nos sentamos a esperar. Nunca antes me había alegrado tanto de que el café demorara unos minutos en llegar hasta la mesa.

Así que aproveché y lo abrí, revisé el índice y le pedí a mi esposa que me tomara alguna que otra foto.
Enseguida llegó Julio con el café. Me preguntó del libro y se lo mostré. Ya él había leído la mayor cantidad de de los cuentos, como sucede con casi todos aquellos que hemos crecido con el hábito de leer.
Menos mal que mi esposa me conoce y me apoya en mi carrera profesional ya que desde que partió Julio, comencé a leer.

Soy del grupo que prefieren tomarse el café bien caliente (con excepción del frapuccino claro, un gusto que descubrí hace poco). Sin embargo hoy nos demoré un poco en comenzar a disfrutar del café.
De hecho, terminé de beberme el capuchino casi justo en el momento en que terminaba Elvira con el suyo. Y ella sí que se toma su tiempo.
El asunto es que se combinaron todos los factores necesarios e idóneos para que se pudiera disfrutar, tanto el café como la lectura, en su máxima expresión.

La música que ambientaba el Café Real era instrumental y a un volumen en que podías disfrutar de ella y de la conversación con tu compañía. Era una bella y relajante música de fondo.
No sé cómo, pero todo se confabuló para que hubiera un silencio casi total en el salón. Solo roto en ocasiones, por el sonido de la máquina de café. Sonido tan bien recibido por todos nosotros y que, por tanto, no molesta; sino todo lo contrario.
Mi esposa se puso a buscar información para su tesis doctoral y me dejó con mi lectura.
El café estaba exquisito. Bebía un sorbo un pequeño buque y lo disfrutaba con todos mis sentidos, el calor de la taza, el sonido de la cuchara al revolver, la vista, al ver la canela desaparecer entre la espuma de leche, hasta ese sabor que nos queda en boca después de tragar.
Y si a eso le sumas La magnífica prosa de Chéjov, tienes la combinación ideal para disfrutar durante más de una hora de todos tus amores al mismo tiempo:
Elvira, la Alta Literatura y el café.
Los animo a que prueben. Busquen un buen libro y un buen café. Disfruten de ese pequeño trozo de paraíso terrenal del que les acabo de contar.
