Roadside coffee shops / Las cafeterías al borde del camino (eng-esp)

Hello, friends of good coffee around the world.

It's always a joy to have a hot cup of coffee. Especially when we're tired from a hike and need a boost of energy.

It turns out there's nothing better for that than roadside cafes.

I'm referring to those with tables in the doorways, right next to the sidewalk, so that walkers can sit and have a good cup of coffee, rest a bit, and recharge before resuming their journey.

Well, that's what my wife and I did. On our way to her teacher and mentor's house, we told ourselves we deserved a break and a good cup of coffee before continuing.

The café, in addition to offering coffee service, also sold chocolates.

Perhaps that's why the coffee always came with a small chocolate. There were various shapes. You could even choose which chocolate to go with your coffee.

But on this cool, shady morning, I was only interested in the coffee, so I gave the chocolate to @elviguitarra.

As a kid, I saw these kinds of roadside cafes as exotic, very similar to the ones you see in movies and TV shows.
Cafes in Paris, New York, Rome... those big cities.
From there, my imagination began to soar, transporting me to these great cities thanks to the magic of good Cuban coffee.

Hola, amigos del buen café en el mundo.

Siempre es un motivo de alegría poder tomarse un café caliente. Sobre todo cuando estamos cansados de una caminata y necesitamos una inyección de energía.

Resulta que para eso no hay nada mejor que las cafeterías que se encuentran al borde del camino.

Me refiero a aquellas con las mesas en los portales, justo al lado de la acera, para que el caminante pueda sentarse y tomarse un buen café, descansar un poco, recobrar energías, antes de retomar el camino.

Pues eso fue lo que hicimos mi esposa y yo. De camino a casa de su maestro y mentor, nos dijimos que nos merecíamos un descanso y un buen café antes de continuar.

La cafetería, además de ofrecer el servicio de café, también vendían bombones de chocolate.

Quizás por eso el café siempre venía acompañado de un bomboncito de chocolate. Las figuras eran varias. Incluso, podías elegir con cuál bombón acompañar tu café.

Pero en esta mañana fresca y a la sombra del camino, yo solo estaba interesado en el café, así que le regalé el bombón a @elviguitarra.

De pequeño veía a este tipo de cafeterías al borde del camino como algo exótico, muy parecidas a las que salen en las películas y series de televisión.
Cafeterías de París, New York, Roma... esas grandes ciudades.
De ahí a que mi fantasía comenzara a volar y me transportara a estas grandes ciudades gracias a la magia del buen café cubano.
