RE: The Silent Struggle of Aging: How We Can Better Support Our Elderly

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

I stopped to read this work because it is a topic, or rather, you touch on several topics that are very close and painful to me.
On the one hand there is abandonment.
On the other hand there is the abandonment of the elderly, of the grandparents, of our loved ones who gave their lives for us, who raised us, those who formed our everyday society.
It is sad to see how the numbers are increasing, the statistics of elderly people in cases of abandonment, elderly people in grandparents' homes, elderly people on the streets, elderly people abused by their relatives, elderly people for whom their relatives are now a burden.
In the past and in other cultures, people were always taught to respect the elderly, I think that is something that we should rescue and adopt from other cultures such as the Asian one, where the elderly are practically sacred beings.
That is why I am telling you that I love your post, that is why I make every word of yours my own, and I congratulate you, my friend, thank you very much for sharing your thoughts.
