One day everything changed / Un día en que todo cambió (eng-esp)
Hello, my friends.
I've been in #hive for a little over a year now. Without sounding like a cliché or trying to make a promise to anyone, Hive came to change my life, to make it better. That's why I hold a special place in my memories for the first Hive gathering at the Hotel Nacional in Cuba.
The first thing that caught my attention was the choice of venue. The Hotel Nacional is the iconic hotel of my country and, therefore, one of the most expensive.
However, every bit of inversion there is worth it. The place, besides exuding some of the history and mystique of all the urban legends surrounding the hotel, has beautiful views and places where we can sit and chat while enjoying the scenery.
But the most important thing is getting to know this great family that we Hive users are.
When I thought there were only a few of us left, each going our own way, the reality was quite the opposite. Since that day, we've been closer than ever.
Being able to sit with them and share coffee, drinks, and food was like spending Christmas with family.
Because that's what matters: the community, not the luxuries or comforts of the place we were. Of course, those things also help and contribute to us feeling great there.
What matters is that we were together there, and a year later, we're still together here in Hive.
That day in the gardens of the Hotel Nacional marked a turning point for all of us.
I hope we can repeat it soon.

Hola, amigos míos.
Ya llevo poco más de un año en #hive. Sin que suene a frase hecha ni a compromiso con alguien: Hive llegó para cambiarme la vida, para mejorármela. Por eso, guardo en un lugar especial de mis recuerdos la primera reunión de hivers en el Hotel Nacional de Cuba.
Lo primero que me llamó la atención fue la elección del lugar. El Hotel Nacional es el hotel icónico de mi país y, por tanto, uno de los más caros.
Sin embargo, cada Hive invertido allí, vale la pena. El lugar, además de respirar parte de la historia y el misticismo de todas las leyendas urbanas que existen alrededor del hotel, tiene vistas hermosas y sitios donde poder sentarnos a conversar, mientras disfrutamos las vistas.
Pero lo más importante es conocer a esta gran familia que somos los usuarios de Hive.
Cuando creí que éramos pocos y cada uno por su lado, la realidad era todo lo contrario. Desde ese día estamos más juntos que nunca.
Poder sentarme con ellos y compartir el café, las bebidas y comida, fue como poder hacerlo en navidad con la familia.
Porque eso es lo que importa, la comunidad, no los lujos ni las comodidades del lugar donde estuviéramos. Claro, eso también ayuda y aporta a que nos sintiéramos excelentemente ahí.
Lo que importa es que estuvimos juntos allí y, un año después, aún continuamos juntos y aquí, en Hive.
Ese día en los jardines del Hotel Nacional, marcó un antes y un después para todos nosotros.
Ojalá y pudiéramos repetirlo pronto.
