Children are the hope of the world / Los niños son la esperanza del mundo (eng-esp)

Hello, friends of #Hive.
I'm joining today to participate in this initiative #49.
What is our role as parents and as part of society regarding the upbringing and education of our children and young people in general?

First and foremost, as a parent, my priority is to raise and prepare my children for the future. Not just to be leaders of the future—if they become that, congratulations, I'd be very happy. I'm more interested in them becoming independent, successful, and, above all, good human beings.

I always strive to help them gradually learn to be independent.
I teach them the basics of the society we live in. From something as simple as going to buy their clothes or knowing how to do the shopping for the house and pay taxes and utilities.

I seek to instill in them good manners, good feelings, and good human values. I want them to acquire their mother's and my vocation for service, as well as our desire for constant learning.

I believe that by instilling these values, they will grow into the future leaders everyone expects, since a leader inspires by example, and that is what I want them to be: role models.

As a teacher, I seek to develop students and future teachers who learn to think. And by this, I mean instilling in my students the idea that content is not learned by rote, but rather thought about, analyzed, and internalized. Even that content is questioned and corroborated.

I want to teach them that we live in an ecosystem where everything is closely intertwined. Therefore, although I teach history, I must also connect it with literature, visual arts, and any other artistic expression.

I seek to educate students who learn and can apply the acquired knowledge in any sphere of their lives.

For our children, we are examples to follow. As José Martí said: “Children are the hope of the world.”
Therefore, they must see all the teachings we give them reflected in us. There's no point in teaching good manners if we don't apply them or show them by example that they're the right thing to do.
There's no point in imposing something on a child or adolescent. It's more effective to explain or show them what we want them to learn or replicate for the future.

That way, they'll internalize it, and when the time comes, it will perform the same function for the children or young people of their future.

Me acerco hoy a participar en esta iniciativa #49.
¿Cuál es nuestro rol como padres y como parte de la sociedad respecto a la crianza y la educación de nuestros hijos y jóvenes en general?

En primer lugar como padre, mi prioridad es criar y preparar a mis hijos para el futuro. No para que sean solamente los líderes del futuro, si se convierten en eso pues felicidades, me alegraría mucho; me interesa más que se conviertan en personas independientes, exitosas y sobre todo, en buenos seres humanos.

Siempre busco que aprendan poco a poco a ser
independientes. Les voy enseñando las cosas básicas de nuestra sociedad en que vivimos. Desde algo tan sencillo como ir a comprar su ropa o saber realizas las compras de la casa y pago de impuestos y servicios.

Busco transmitirles buenos modales, buenos sentimientos, buenos valores humanos. Quiero que adquieran la vocación de servicio de su madre y mía; además de nuestras ansias de aprendizaje constante.

Creo que inculcando estos valores crecerán como los líderes de futuro que todos esperan, ya que el líder inspira con el ejemplo y eso es lo que quiero que ellos sean: ejemplos a seguir.

Como maestro busco formar a estudiantes y futuros maestros que aprendan a pensar. Y con esto me refiero a inculcarle a mis alumnos la idea de que el contenido no se aprende de memoria, sino que se piensa, analiza e interioriza. Incluso, que el contenido se cuestiona y corrobora.

Quiero enseñarles que vivimos en un ecosistema donde todo se encuentra estrechamente vinculado. Por tanto, aunque enseña historia también debo vincularla con la literatura la plástica y cualquier otra manifestación artística.

Busco formar alumnos que aprendan y puedan aplicar el conocimiento adquirido en cualquier esfera de su vida.

Es que para los hijos y niños somos ejemplos a seguir. Ya lo dijo José Martí: “los niños son la esperanza del mundo”.
Por tanto tienen que ver reflejadas todas las enseñanzas que le damos en nosotros. De nada sirve enseñar buenos modales si no los aplicamos si no les mostramos con nuestro ejemplo que es lo correcto.
De nada vale imponerle algo a un niño o a un adolescente. Da más resultado explicarle o mostrarle aquello que queramos que aprenda o replique para el futuro.
De ese modo podrá interiorizarlo y llegado el momento realizará la misma función para que ellos niños o jóvenes de su futuro.
