POETRY: BEST FRIENDS 💝💖

Hello hivers, hope you had a wonderful day.Today I opened my old journal, reading and reminiscing over my past experience and thoughts and I came across an entry about my best friend and my mind immediately went to the poem I wrote about her, I had written this poem a long time ago. My best friend name is Ogechi and we were friends for seven years (throughout secondary school) we didn't talk that much after school and we just drifted and it hurts that we don't talk anymore. But I just remembered this poem and I thought to share it with you guys.

From the crown of your head to the sole of your feet screams perfection,
She's beautiful kind and neat,
Oh! God is unjust can't you see,
She's a beautiful creature to me

Without any blemish, without any spot,
She can set a country on fire because she's hot,
Her radiant smile gives me light at night,
Not only that she's strong she's my knight,

Even when I'm caged, I give up and I want to die,
She sets me free, gives me wings then I fly,
Even when I'm in my darkest night,
She comes to my aid she's my source of light,

And even when I'm in my darkest hour,
She's shines so bright, she's my sunflower,
Words are not enough to describe how wonderful you are to me,
When I close my eyes it is you I can see,

And even now she reassures me and gives me hope,
She tells me there's a better tomorrow, you'll cope,
Even when I'm sad and feeling down,
She turns my frown upside down, she fixes my crown,

When I ask who am I to deserve this kind of love,
She slaps me and tells me to shut up,
Ain't I lucky to have this kind of treasure,
I'll guard it with my heart, with my soul, to all measure,

I've got your back and you've got mine,
If we are ever in trouble, I'll fight, we'll be fine,
She's part of my entity she makes me whole,
I'll laugh at you but help you if you fall into a hole,

She's crazy and out of control,
But I laugh a little because she's mine to own,
I can't imagine a life without you and me,
If there is, my world will stop and seize to be,

Just like this poem you are even and just,
If you stop loving me,i feel like all is lost,
Even when you are angry with me,
Please don't go, let's talk, don't just let it be

I hope I'm not the only one who feels this way,
I hope not, but if not, I hope this poem will sway,
Happy, is what I feel when I'm around you,
And I hope you feel the same way too,

When I think of perfect your face comes to mind,
I'm happy that in you friend I could find,
If you ask me to stand and talk about her,
I'll talk from the when the sun shines to the shine of the star,

At the end of the day, who is she,
She's Oge, my world she's everything to me.
