If walls could talk
Hi freewriters,
Hey everyone, my name is Abeegail, welcome to my blog, I'm a teen who loves writing, poetry and whatnot. I wrote a poem, i hope you can relate to it.

If walls could talk I wonder what my childhood home would say,
Maybe it would tell tales of a young girl, whose smile would beat the radiance of the sun,
A girl whose dreams was to be a princess, living in a castle with all her friends and loved ones,
A girl who sang and practiced her waltz in front of the mirror, as her definition of fun,
Maybe it would talk about a girl who would always hear the word " you are just to be seen not heard",
A girl who had her voice taken away from her, who embraced silence and invisibility like a soft plushie.
Maybe it would talk about a girl who would put on performances, just to be seen, this is all she could do because no one wants to hear what she had to say anyway.
A girl who embraced the silence and invisibility, that she created friends to join her adventures.
The atmosphere was always warm, home cooked food and laughters but something was missing,
There's laughter but she could never understand what was so funny,
She wanted to talk but the words never seem to come out, like her voice box has been locked, dried out,
She wasn't bright but she wasn't dumb either, she knows she could do better, and she has to because how would she become a princess if she wasn't smart enough, no one wants an average princess, princesses are meant to be perfect and she knows she not,....... she's never going to be a princess.
They praised her for being quiet, so quiet is all she knows, but now she has no voice, to sing that sweet melody,
With no one left to talk to all she could do was wonder, .........wonder with her invisible friends on adventures untold.
If walls could talk it would say "I hope she finds her voice".
If walls could talk it would say "I hope she becomes a princess".
It's Abeegail ✨💗
