We Are Humans After All.
I listened to a song by Brymo, and one of the lyrics is, “Religion doesn't help, and character doesn’t pave the way.” This means it all comes down to who you are, as no one gets to ask about your religion or your character when you make a mistake. That's just life.
In a world with different people and personalities, we have to pass through the struggles of humanity without having a choice. We were born into this world not knowing anything, but we have to live as something. This is where everything erupted from.
Those who are greedy to make it in life will have to give their all, legal or illegal just to make sure they become what they want, some will just accept their fate, live their life as it comes, and seek contentment in the little things, some won't even have to stress themselves before they get what they want. That's where the difference comes into play.
The question here is will everyone accept theirs?
This is a game, where those who have upper hands tend to overpower those below them, and those below also want to rise up to power. What do you think will be the end of this? There will be zero tolerance and peace would never be an option.
From there, the emergence of rules and regulations, followed by ethics, morals, and beliefs. All of these weren’t in existence before, but they came into existence to correct and erect the behavior of humans. This is why as time passes by some of the ethics, morals, and beliefs tend to wash away and then get replaced with new ones.
There were times when people stuck so much to ethics of the society, though they differ across the world, there are still some general ones that everyone gets to take effectively. Just for example a group of people came together to form an organization where they can injure people to seek the power they need. At first, that won't be considered by the society until they begin to realize that there is a lot of harm coming from such groups to the society. They will bring up a rule to curb such acts from happening.
No society is created with ethics and morals, they tend to come into existence as people fill up a particular place and the type of ethics and morals with a particular group of people is directly related to the behavior of those living in the area.
The fight against drug abuse can only be moral to those living in communities where drug abuse was taken as a normal way of life. Then there come stories, and morals about the consequences of those who got abused from taking excessive drugs, and the consequences of their actions would serve as a lesson to others.
With time all of these morals and ethics will get common among the people of their generation and get passed down to other generations to come. So this is one way it will become a law that’s been imposed on people and their way of life will be affected by it. Just so it could also be affected and changed over time.
This is my response to the HIVE LEARNERS weekly prompt in the hive-learners community for the Week 168 Edition 2, and the topic to be discussed is ETHICS AND MORALS.

Sometimes you see people do something and someone tells them it’s wrong. So I ask myself, who makes the rules.
At the end of the day, it all depends on the point you are viewing the whole situation from.
