A Farm House 🏡
Life can be funny when we can't decide what fate has in place for us, our dreams, hopes, wants, needs, career path, and many other things. These are all part of life, but we can't tell which is ours and truly ours.
Sometimes we hope to grow old with a lot of life gooddies ahead of us, but we never know if we are destined to live short. Some who never even had the thought of living long might end up living older than they expected. All are still a part of the misery of life.
When it comes to childhood days, they tend to be one of the most amazing days of our lives, the funniest part of it is that we won't get to appreciate it until it's over. And once it's over there is no going back. As a child we get to live with zero worries, we are so free-minded and just living life in its purest form.
Back then we never knew what life was all about, the hurdles, and the hustles, were all done by our parents, so all we could do was just fantasize that life would keep going that same way even though we thought it was way easier for our parents than it was for us as children. But we never knew our parents were just patiently waiting for us to overcome that stage.
My childhood dream
I remember a time when I was in a discussion with my siblings, we were talking about how we wanted our future to look like. My sister said she wanted a big and spacious house, so beautifully built, and a nice car. My bro just wanted something simple and classy, but in the end, I wanted a farmhouse.
I wanted something related to that of my brother but have trees planted all around me, a large area of land where some section is where I get to plant vegetables, arable crops, perennials, and on the other end, I will have the livestock session too. Where I can raise different animals, and have my small hut-like house lying low at the center of it all.
I also wished to be a farmer, but was convinced by my brother's choice then, when he said he wanted to be an aeronautical engineer and I remembered how much he said they would earn just to work on an airplane. So I changed my career to becoming a pilot. Only if I knew I wouldn't even become a driver 😂.
Adulthood struck, reality set in, and I began to see life in a different way, i began to see how tough it was to thread a particular path and then make money wasn’t from the tree in the backyard. From there all of those dreams began to diminish gradually. I started picking something I felt easier and inferior, till it dawned on me.
Now I am back as a farmer again, and it is not something easy compared to what I dreamt about as a child. I still want to live in my dreams of having a farmhouse but in a more mature and advanced way.

Where would you have seen catfish in the sky to roast if you became a pilot?😄
You're calculating the money pilots make, and you're not telling us the billions you're making as a farmer. When adulthood and life realities set in,sometimes the dreams we had as children, we might not reach. However it is, it's good you have something going on in your life that is helping you survive.
We knew nothing about hustling as kids, our parents provides everything. Childhood was indeed sweet.
I can understand how you feel . It's tough when life takes a different path than what we dream of . Being a pilot sounds like an amazing goal! It's still clear you have a strong passion for it . Even though farming is hard , it's also incredibly important and valuable work .
