Hotel Living - Travel Blog

When I came to the South before, I stayed at my grandmother's house. It had its disadvantages. My folks live like my Sims where everyone shares a room. I like to sleep in a bit and it's hard to sleep when someone is coming in and out of a room. Or sharing a room with someone who snores.

This time my mom booked a nice hotel. Sadly I didn't get to explore the town. I thought I would or at least my mom's friend might've known a place we could go. A movie, a joint, etc.

The room is nice.  The nicest room I've ever seen. The last hotel my folks stayed at wasn't this nice.

I am posting the vlog on my YouTube. I will probably mesh the video into parts and post one big video since I thought the folks would do some activities. My mom had her class reunion therefore she's the only one that got a chance to go out with her friend.

The hotel had a restaurant/bar in the lobby. I got the pork chops, 2 sides, a drink, and dessert. This was 30 bucks total. I should have gotten something cheaper. This was good though. I want to know what coating they use so I can make this at home.

I wish I had the cash for a drink at the bar.

The hotel also got free breakfast between 6-9 am. I wish it was until 10 am. I am not a morning person. At home, I sleep until noon because my brain can't function at noon. lol.

I got a photo of the supermoon on Wednesday night. It was pretty. It was so big and bright. I took this with my phone. At least until I can get my camera fixed or get a new camera.

There is a casino across the street. I don't gamble. It would be nice to see what is inside. I'd probably suck at gambling. I can't even gamble in red dead redemption 2.

Outdoor pool. When I arrived it was cool out. The pool being open in the middle of October is kinda funny. Maybe they didn't close it down yet. Or maybe it was still hot enough for the pool until recently. I expected it to be warmer. I brought something to get wet in because I thought the pool was indoors or I thought they had a hot tub. The pool is NOT heated by the way. When I was little, my folks went to Atlanta, GA and the hotel we stayed at had a pool and a hot tub in the same room. Other times when my mom visited her boyfriend when I was little, the hotel had a pool or a hot tub.

My mom said she didn't see on the site if the pool is indoors or outdoors. I remember when my mom wanted to plan a staycation, she had me look up hotels in the area and it listed the hotels, how much it cost per night, and if the pool was outdoors/indoors. I like indoor pools, you can swim year-round

I forgot to bring something to put over my hair since I don't want to get it wet.

Well. Maybe in the future we can plan a summer trip and I can get in the pool

My breakfast is on a different day.

They don't have much variety. You can get scrambled eggs, waffles, toast etc. You don't have a wide selection as you would going to the IHOP. At least I just have to worry about lunch/dinner and breakfast is already covered.

That is all the photos I got. It was fun. Driving here and stuff. Chilling at the rest stops.

I'm just doing what I do at home, except I am out of town. I was under the impression my mom would take us out or ask her friend to take us out, she claims there are no tourist attractions out here, all of them are in Memphis, and it's hard getting there due to construction. I missed the exit to get off of the highway to get gas due to construction. At least I am out of the house, getting to mingle with people. I also get a break from cooking because my folks depend on me to cook.   I did the same thing when I stayed with my grandmother to be honest, minus being by a railroad track. It would be funny if I stayed at a hotel by train tracks.

Minus when I went to my grandmother's birthday and when I went to my aunt's wake, I was at home most of the time.

The vlog may be a bit boring since I didn't go out and explore, at least you will get a "hotel living" type vlog.
